We are disappointed at the recent letter you have written on behalf of your support for Hillary Clinton as the Democratic nominee for President of the United States of America, not because you enthusiastically support your candidate, but because this letter urges "superdelagates" to overturn the votes of the American people.

Elections are not held in back rooms, they are held in the voting booths. As much as Hillary Clinton is qualified to be president, it is clear that the voters believe Barack Obama to be more qualified. He has won more pledged delagates, more votes, and more states. The math simply does not add up, and this is a fact; therefore, the only path for Hillary Clinton to gain the nomination is to persuade the undeclared "superdelagates" to overturn the votes of the American people.

Your contribution to the suggestion of overturning the votes of the American people is a disgrace, and we strongly denounce this letter, because even though it is written by people elected as US Representatives, it clearly does not represent the true will of the American people.

    • I'm very disappointed. Race or due to racism of certain groups in America is not a reason to give her the nomination, I voted for President Clinton, and argued among friends when that terrible ordeal happened to you and your family. but, check out how I feel now.

    • what you are asking for is not democratic, and you are not fit to CALL yourselves Democrats. Shame on you for trying to take away something Barack worked so hard for, as well as the people's voice. They put their faith in him, let it stay their decision. You are acting like sore losers, and it doesn't make us appreciate your anymore than we do. It has the opposite effect.

    • I am OUTRAGED that our elected congressmen would even consider this action. As a devoted AR democrat who has voted consistently for Marion Berry, he has absolutely ruined his credibility with myself and fellow democrats by his signing of this letter. The votes should be by the PEOPLE and not decided in some back room delegate decision. Congressmen, be aware of who it is who put in you office to begin with. THE PEOPLE.

    • The nomination has been decided. Hilary is not the stronger candidate. Furthermore I have no faith in her ability to fix the economy when she can't even keep her own campaign cash flow positive without huge personal loans. Her attacks and this letter are extremely destructive to our party and I would urge you to stop them entirely.

    • If this happens a real split of the party will occur. It would be a slap in the face to 90\% of the African American population (who the party needs to win the election) and the young, college kids who have come out in droves for Sen Obama. SHAME ON YOU!!!!

    • You should google "lslsttn" and see what you're missing, Members of Congress. People all over this Nation are up in arms, and not just about this ridiculous campaign season. You guys have work to do. That's what we sent you there for. Get back in line with your job descriptions, please. Hillary can't pay you enough to throw that away. This is a time of great, national change; and you are on the cutting edge of it. It's a great opportunity for you; so (re)learn the rules and take it.

    • As a concerned college student and American Citizen I feel it is my duty to tell you that it is actions like this that create apathy among young voters. How will you ever convince people to continue to participate in a Government that is supposedly "By the people, and for the people" when you would simply pass a statement that would overrule thousands of American Citizen's votes?! Please stop where you are, and let the small amount of voice we have in government stand where it should. Thank You.

    • I support Barack Obama for President and will not vote at all in the November election if the "status quo" acts in this un-American, elitist manner. I will miss voting for the first time in my adult life this November if Hillary Clinton is seated by the "Powers that Be" and the rightful winner of this campaign is sent to the back of the bus, so to speak. I will sit back and watch the Right-wing zealots elect their geriatric nominee before I vote for someone who used her husband's political clout to usurp the American electoral process. I am a middle-class, hard-working, white, non-college graduate who has worked to see Barack Obama become the nominee of the only party that hasn't sold its soul to Big Pharma and Big Business.
