- With Supportive Housing we can give people the opportunity to live in dignity. Our neighbourhoods will be safer and richer when we care about our most vulnerable. It is less costly to house people, then to have them live their lives, fighting to survive against all odds, so there are higher policing costs, higher costs to the health system, and higher costs to our society in general. Let the entire City of Nanaimo show we are a caring, compassionate city and that we model for our children the right way to treat all people. Love is better than hate, hope is better than fear, optimism is better than despair. We have nothing to fear but fear itself. I truly believe that supportive housing and raising the standards of those who need it most, raises the standards for all of us.

- I am in favour of supportive housing in all parts of our city, for all I know there might be one in my neighbourhood & I don't notice any difference.

- I am in support of the low barrier housing project on Uplands. Low barrier housing is a critical element to support the homeless; it needs to be in different parts of the city, and council can make a huge difference by seeing this project through to completion.
