Request for a complete overhaul of The Wicker Park Post Office (60622) including a demand for new customer service staff as well as management and supervisors. This Post Office is a disgrace to the community and citizens of Wicker Park, Chicago, IL. The staff is rude, lazy, incompetent and disrespectful to its customers. Nothing short of firing everyone who works in customer service and management there will do. This post office is responsible for countless stolen and missing mail, the employees remove and hide their employee identification badges when asked for their names by customers, the counters are consistently under staffed creating excessive waiting periods (even for post office standards) and management is incompetent and unable to handle the tasks of their positions. The workers complain about their jobs and argue with other employees as well as with customers with no discretion or proper communication skills. This place is quite frankly, a mess. For the citizens of this community, an immediate change and complete overhaul is a must.

    • Many lost parcels even though I've posted a note specifically instructing carrier not to leave large envelopes or packages outside...to ring my bell. I also recieve opened letters frequently. I won't even bother to address the issues at the Wicker Park Post Office location.

    • Our tax paper work just arrived today--postmarked march 26th (it's April 10th). Furthermore, that PO has lost mail I have SENT--including a precious family video. Gone forever. That office has to be the worst in USA.

    • Almost every DVD I have requested via NetFlix has been lost/stolen. I have never received mail on a Saturday. I have failed to receive countless important packages, letters, bills, and checks. I have to buy insurance on every shipped product or impt. document I order. The 60622 mail service has wasted incredible amounts of my time and money.

    • It is embarassing to have to call people to see if they sent the donation check they pledged because I still haven't recieved it 2 weeks later only to find out it was returned "address unkown". Plus hunting down missing (undelivered) tax documents made my filing even harder

    • Simply unbelievable. The mail carriers from this office are no better than the counter employees. My carrier has never once rang the buzzer at our office door. If we don't find the package sitting on the lobby floor somewhere, then we are forced to go to the post office and wait in line for every package.

    • This has ceased being funny. Someone needs to be accountable for this. Is this yet another government agency where you only have to be hooked up to get a job without any qualifications? Perhaps they would do a better job if they stayed off of their cell phones.
