We, the Undersigned, endorse the following petition, and request that you release Dustin Lee Perry echo number 6174 from the San Antonio Texas Adolescent Youth Center located at 8550 Huebner Road in San Antonio Texas and place him with his natural father Bartholumew Perry who wants, loves, and needs him.
Your job as a public employee is to work FOR the people, and to do so you need to do what the people ask of you.

In July of 2005 Dustin Lee Perry was placed into the Texas Adolescent Youth Center for abuse, and trying to commit suicide rather then continue to live with his natural born mother. His natural Father was not even notified until AFTER the hearing was held. This is not legal, nor is his incarceration in that facility needed. Dustin Lee Perry has a family that loves him, and needs to go home to Oklahoma with that family.
We the undersigned request that he be immediately released, and sent home to his father, and stepmother who love, and need him home.
The background to this petition has been set up at http://www.embclipart.com/dustin.html for you to view, along with that background we have added the names, and addresses of those involved.
Please grant us the grace, and relief we seek, as Dustin NEEDS to come home.

    • Dustin's natural father should be given the right to care for and nuture his son. Dustin has a father who is not a deadbeat dad like so many others in this country. Why not give Dustin's natural father a chance to care for his son if he so desires.

    • Please let Dustin be allowed to go home with this family who evidently love and want him in their family. He has the right to be with this family who does want him very much.

    • Have adopted my 3 grandchildren abused in foster care for 3.5 years. Went to state of Oregon to get past the county roadblocks. Children are doing better, but are special needs due to their traumatic experiences. My husband is an adolescent psychiatrist. We have read Dustin's letter, His best hope for a future worth living is to let the family which loves him bring him home.

    • I am the Mom of a child that completed suicide, this is the hardest thing for a parent to do is to have to bury a child, please don't let this be on your shoulder in Dustin's case. He is old enough to make his own decision as to where he would like to live. Please give him a chance at a new life and a chance to know his father and siblings. Abuse is illegal, why aren't the people that done the abusing incarcerated instead of Dustin.
