To the Honourable the Commons of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland in Parliament assembled.
We the undersigned petitioners are calling for The Animal Welfare Act 2006 to become more enforceable, and more recognised to all civilians who either have, or are looking to have, an animal in their care. We are also calling for harsher punishment for those who choose to ignore The Animal Welfare Act 2006. This will hopefully present a more valid deterrent.
Educating of this matter will without doubt, cut accidents and suffering of many animals. Which will in turn, make a safer environment for animal and human alike.

- People need to take more responsibility for their animals and not just let them run loose to cause accidents etc

- Education is key in getting the right care for all animals. I'm studying a MSc in Animal Welfare, and would you believe there is only 6 people taking the course.
