Dear California Transportation Representatives,
We seek your cooperation in the preservation, and public access of the newly constructed skateboard park underneath the 580 maze west, adjacent to wood street and beach street.
Since the last interaction with your organization, residents of the bay area and beyond have been visiting and skateboarding the site. Visitors also are donating money, or signing the written petition. This has resulted in up to 50-100 people visiting the site on any given day and over 600 written signatures. There have also been community clean up days, where we pick up the trash, paint over the graffiti, and have skateboard jams for the youth.
Our plan is to preserve this site as a permanent public skateboard facility that was built by the community for the community.
We want this place to be a safe and friendly environment where people of all ages can come together to be creative and inspired to build a better future with one another.
Please sign to approve this project, and help let something inspiring be available to everyone.
