Anime, The best thing for teens... It gives us teenagers a sense of reality, love, drama, and most importantly... a heart! unlike the adults signing this petition (http://www.petitiononline.com/cutiepie/petition.html) its TERRIBLE, it sickens me! Japan is NOT dark, evil country.
1.Ah! My Goddess - It is a love story, the kid in the show is in his teens... and Belldandy is MUCH older since. Belldandy is a goddess hence the power to grant the boy anything he desired, and wishes DO HAVE RULES! which she decided to put aside, she WANTED to date him. Ah! My Goddess is a love story, a sad, beautiful love story showing that no matter how high of power you are... there is no guy that is to low for you.
2.Love Hina - This is also a love story. All the perverted stuff clearly happens on accident. This comedic love shows Keitaro slowly falling in love with Naru Narusegawa. The scenes that show love with Shinobu (the young girl) are Shinobu's own wishes, she WANTS to be with Keitaro... but Keitaro has morals and doesnt want Shinobu like that... only as a friend. Keitaro falls in love with Naru. Just like Ah! My Goddess... this show is beautiful in its own ways... there is nothing sickening about it at all.
There are many more beautiful anime's and some are kind of gross, but the really gross ones are made for adults only. Japan, is a great and lovely country! I will not sit and watch ANYONE bad mouth it EVER! You people that signed that other petition sicken me and i could care less what you have to say!
So everyone... please sign this petition. For the good of the Teenagers of america AND all over the world. Anime is NOT evil, it can help people relieve stress and have a good healthy immagination. The people who want it gone, and out of this country, will raise terrible dull boring kids! If I didnt have anime... i wouldnt have a heart! I have learned alot from anime... and I wish for other people to learn from it also... but I can see you idiots out there... that are helping the governement take away more of our freedoms in America... want to make our kids boring, plain, and all the same! All I can ask is to bring MORE anime to america! Thank You for signing!

To ban anime just because of hentai would be the most idiotic thing in the world to do. - I agree with everything you say here. But you have to realize that the other petition is simply a joke. Someone would have to be utterly braindead to be serious about something like that. And I doubt Bush gives a rat's ass about banning anime anyways. He's got more important things to do like perhaps... running the country?

- As a teen, I must agree. Thanks to anime, I have learned to have a keen sence of hearing. As a kid I wanted to be just like the heroes, and as I got older I learned from them that I could sharpen my sences, and I did. If I could learn something fom anime I know everyone can. I mean come on, I'm not the brightest teen out there. But I still know what can happen. Its good for the imagination, as well as the soul.

- anime is by far the ultimate art form surpassing any other form of video entertainment, and carries greater emotional values....if people are so worried about the surrounding environment where THEIR troubled kids grow up, they need to look much closer and they will find true cause in 90% of american made comedies, daily tv shows, holywood movies and even disney films that promote love and physical interaction, with which i have no problem...so people who still live in '60's state of mind need to finally get over it

- Amen, we must all fight this evil power that is "Dennis Fuller" for he does not see what earlier bannings have done to America, the alcohol prohibition brought the Maifa to America and now we can't get rid of them. - C'mon, they're cartoons, and if you really put attention on the story you might learn a thing or two. OK some anime is weird or extreme, but that's normal in Japan (help us learn about other cultures) but please bring more manga and avoid anime and manga censorship, if its targeted to teenagers don't try to target it for little kids
