Residents of Cottage Grove and surrounding communities would like a dirt remote control race track within the Cottage Grove Parks system.

- R/c is a great and growing hobby. A track in town would be perfect to give kids something to do and stay out of trouble. Plus it could/would bring in good revenue since there isnt to many r/c tracks in the state.

- This would be a great feature. I think people like myself would easily make the drive to have an opportunity like this. I drive to Cottage Grove now to play Disc Golf at my favorite park, Oakwood. They had an RC park like this in Phx where I lived and it was a great attraction.

- There are no R/C race tracks in the Twin City area. This would be a great addition to the Twin Cities as an alternative to running these vehicles on public streets or in parks that forbid motorized vehicles.

- This could be something that could start an enormous spark in the hobby. Not only will it draw crowds, so many people in the Twin Cities in general have been dying for something like this to happen. Hopefully the city of Cottage Grove can be the first city to take a stand on this.
