We here at Xtreme Eagles Gaming Community (www.xtremeeagles.net) are very upset with the decision that the person(s)who have decided to not give the PC gamers dedicated servers, mod tools, and Punkbuster. We as a community are upset because this affects us and other communities in a negative way. We have built our community on dedicated servers. We like Punkbuster because is a proven method to reduce cheating within the game and with third party Anti-Cheat scripts. We like our dedicated servers so we can play without lag, have low latency, mods and total control of the server.

Without getting to much in depth. A great amount of PC gamers are very upset and have decided to cancel pre-orders for Modern Warfare 2 and future products that have no Dedicated servers, mod tools, Punkbuster, and third party anti-cheat scripts to use and help protect us from hackers. match making games will not do our community justice and with leagues that we do play in that is a console feature not for PC gamers.

With that being said all that we ask is you reconsider your decision before the PC gaming world turns ours backs on you! We also would like to say that if the issue has anything to do with getting the game out on the release date we are willing to wait. PLEASE RECONSIDER

Join our forums or Ventrilo to discuss if you wouldnt mind waiting if they decide to give us our dedicated servers and Punkbuster back or anything else you wish! We want to gather your thoughts and produce them to Infinity Ward.

    • How could there not be dedicated servers? The life blood of Modern Warfare is the dedicated servers. Where would the personalization and mods that lasted this long come from? Dedicated servers. And where would any Call of Duty be without Punkbuster? Dead and full of cheaters.

    • Console matchmaking is highly faulty and is full of cheaters. Plus VAC is not a widespread anti-cheating system whereas PB is.
