This online petition was created by the DVD buying community. In this form the author will use the term "we" to refer to the interested parties that sign this petition.

In this petition we wish to show that the current demand for the Vincent Price movie "The House Of Wax" is ample and that a speedy release would prove profitable to the company and beneficial to the consumer. We also feel that it is imperative to include the 3-D version of the film, allowing fans for the first time to enjoy the movie as it was meant to be seen. This could easily be accomplished by using a double sided DVD, 3-D on one side standard version on the other, thus leaving the final decision up to the consumer. We feel that this solution would maximize profits because only one DVD would have to be created.

The demand for this movie has been increased by the fact that it is only available on VHS and is not available at all in it's intended format of 3-D. This movie would sell not only to Vincent Price fans, but to fans of the horror genre as well. Including the 3-D option would also create a strong selling point in itself since people would be willing to buy it just to see this special effect. There is currently no mainstream video in 3-D, let's make this one the first.

To further show the demographic breakdown I have included space for comments with any signature. I have also asked with each signature if the 3-D option is important to the signers.

By signing this petition each person is stating interest in the product mentioned above and a general intent to purchase if said product were to be made available.

    • A 3-D/flat combo DVD is a terrific idea. And it might even been done on a single-sided disc. It's a very short movie and there can't be much in the archives for bonuses, as the director and most of the cast has gone now. There should be enough material around, though for a good featurette on the 3-D film craze of the 50s , perhaps with some excerpts from "Bwana Devil" and other early Warner 3-D films. While you're at it, let's get a 3-D version of Hitchcock's "Dial M for Murder" as well.

    • Warners also owns several other 3D titles - the studio was at the forefront of promoting this technology in the 1950's. Other 3D titles include "Charge at Feather River" "The Moonlighter" "Phantom of the Rue Morgue" "The Command" (released in Warnerscope, but also filmed in 3-D) "Them!" (rumored to have been shot in 3D but released flat) "Lumberjack Rabbit' (Bugs Bunny 3D cartoon short) Hope Warner Bros considers converting their 3D films before the negatives deteriorate.

    • This is a sure fire purchase if it's in 3-d! This is a classic that should be available in it's original form, with the flat version also available for those who can't watch 3-d. I really hope this happens!
