Are you the Author?
We, the Undersigned, were never in support of our country's war with Iraq. Our family and friends, however, felt it good enough a reason to go overseas and fight for it. Men and women who join the military for benefits, as they may have no other options, are now forced to fight in a war based on a personal vendetta. We do not see any good reason for our troops to be there, and that is why we want them home.

    • The war began with a lie. The war may have helped many Iraqis, but it has not brought total freedom and much of any benefits to the U.S. troops. Iraq is in a total mess.

Iraqi "sovereignty"(sol -scoff out loud)/ our troops didn't come home. Elections next week/ our troops won't come home. On the other had 1,372 of our bravest (and poorest) have come home...in body bags. Why does nobody, not even critics, say what we know this is all about: controlling the land over the second largest oil field on the planet and building PERMANENT military bases to guard it and from which to eventually launch an assualt upon Saudi Arabia next door sitting on the largest oil field. And this is not done for the average American, but rather by the poorer American for the richest PNAC members and their elite cronies.

    • I have tried to keep an open mind. But at this stage in the game I think it is clear that there is no winning this war. The war to begin with was illegal, and we went in their like cowboys, under the assumption that Iraq was actually a threat. Well, if we would of been more patient we could of found out for sure and maybe this would of never of happened. It breaks my heart to know that such ignorance exists in the white house. I do not feel that our leadership is american whatsover. If our leadership knew anything about history, (vietnam) than why would they let it repeat itself? I do not support the current leadership, they have no wisdom, they are consumed by greed, control, and power, and have absolutely no respect for brotherly, worldly love. Remember, God will judge. More importantly you have called upon my brothers and sisters to go and participate in a ver inhumane, genocidal-esque, crime against the rest of the world. I think it is time for you, our leaders, to bring our troops home now!

    • I support our troops 100%, they completed their mission in Iraq they deposed Sadam Hussein, Iraq now has a Govenment and an army the religeous Clerics there who have so much sway there need to get together and sort out their differences, we are just 'enabling' them to continue their sectarian strife they do not care about our troops, bring our troops home. Leaving our troops in Iraq at this time just attracts more terrorist organisations to Iraq from other nations where they can Kill Americans at will, with the American Troops home there will be nothing for these Terrorists in Iraq and our troops will be safe.
