Bring Back Queer As Folk

Last night (August 7th, 2005), fans of the show, "Queer as Folk" were broken hearted that the show ended abruptly for them. As the final scenes rolled by, many were left disappointed and angry for the way the show ended, feeling like the show itself was not a series finale but a season finale, sensing that more could have been done with several storylines and characters. Many were left content with the show, but because of the show's sudden demise, cancelled their Showtime service. We the fans believe that if Showtime and the creators of Queer as Folk negotiated into making a sixth and final season with wrapping up several storylines, that we the fans would be very content. We don't know if Showtime realizes that they have a hit with Queer As Folk, and it would be a smart move on their part to re-instate Queer As Folk considering that on HBO, "Six Feet Under" is ending and pretty soon "The Sopranos" will be ending too, leaving Queer As Folk the show to watch, besides "The L Word" on cable television.

So on behalf of your fans, who adore and admire the show for it's characters and stories of strength, pride, love, friendship and sex...please re-instate Queer As Folk into your lineup with a sixth and final season that will satisfy and give closure to the fans who have dedicated five long years to the show.

    • I don't think you should create another season, but just a follow up episode, to conclude what should have been concluded in the "last" episode. I, along with many others are outraged at the ending, and feel that, this amazing show, that you put so much into, and did so well with, deserves better. Thanks.

    • I am definitely for a "new" final episode that concentrates on the characters and their futures. I too was very unhappy with how it ended with Brian and Justin, considering they're the reason that kept the show going, the fans deserved to see a happy ending between the two men.

    • Why would you end such a wonderful series with so many loose ends? The writers seriously failed us QAF fans with this one, and either an additional season, or a WELL WRITTEN 2 hr movie to undo the damage would save my ShowTime subscription.

    • I thought this show was every bit as good as some daytime dramas that have been on the air over 25 years. I do believe more could be done with their storyline by adding new characters. This show has great potential!
