- Please take into consideration that rodents are the intermediate host of the deer tick - my yard is overrun with voles/chipmonks and other rodents, in addition to hosting a burgeoning herd of whitetail deer.

- I removed a tick from myself last night - first time I found one embedded. Only time I was outside yesterday was to fill my bird feeder. So am participarly motivated to make sure my kids are protected.

- the deer also cause car accidents. they are way overpopulated. We should consider non-shooting methods of culling the population. perhaps the sale of deer meat could offset the cost of culling? (I'm not against hunting, but think Acton is generally too densely populated for hunting to be safe).

- Deer continually approaching our property, eating plant material & increasing probability of acquiring Lyme's disease while in the garden or yard thru the deer tick.
