I, the undersigned citizen of the State of Florida, petition the Florida Legislature to call for a Constitutional Convention for the purpose of amending the United States Constitution to Reform Congress. I ask that the wording of the Amendment to Reform Congress specify that: 1.Congress shall pass no law that excludes itself or Federal employees from any provision of the law; 2. Congress shall not grant itself any special privileges that are not available to every Citizen of the United States; 3. Term limits shall be set for members of Congress that shall not exceed 2 terms of 6 years for Senators and 6 terms of 2 years for members of the House of Representatives.

    • We should require they reduce their salaries to, say, $70k and to eliminate their retirement plan. Both of these benefits they voted for themselves, yet never campaigned they would and both set them apart from their constituents, which is not only arrogant, but self-centered.
