Bison Family:
As an update, Sumner Regional, who has been providing athletic trainers at minimal cost to Sumner County HSs, recently announced that they will be ending this program effective December 8. This obviously leave Station Camp and other county schools without certified professional coverage at practices and games.
As a parent and the President of the Bison Quarterback Club, I am confident in my belief that Athletic Trainers ought to be employed by the SCBOE, and intend to state this belief to the SCBOE this evening should I be given the opportunity.
Based on your personal availability, please assist us by doing one of the two options listed below.
1.] Attend the November 18th school board meeting at 7pm at the Sumner County Board of Education, bringing as many friends and supporters as you can. Athletic Trainers in Sumner County schools will be on the agenda and some of the public will be allowed to speak on our behalf. This is our chance to have a huge turnout of support.
2.] If you cannot attend the meeting, simply make a supportive call or email to Don Long at the board of education. His email is don.long@sumnerschools.org This is also very effective as he has already mentioned the outpouring he has received so far.

- Certified Athletic Trainers are healthcare professionals who are experts in injury prevention, assessment, treatment and rehabilitation. Without an athletic trainer, our children are subject to injuries that would otherwise be prevented. I believe that our children are worth the money!
