We, the undersigned, hereby demand that Chesley Sullenberger III, the steely nerved pilot who landed a doomed Airbus on the Hudson River on a January morning not too long ago and roamed the aisles to make sure everybody was off before he himself escaped the sinking carcass of his plane be awarded the nation's highest civilian honor: The Presidential Medal of Freedom. If some lame, half-bright fool like Paul Bremer gets a Medal of Freedom, then surely Sully deserves one as well- hell, he SAVED 155 American taxpayer lives with quick thinking and undaunted courage. Don't delay President Obama: True heroism deserves its turn.
