We agree that Aberystwyth needs some positive changes; we believe that these changes should involve the creation of more entertainment venues and increased shopping options. We also believe that Aberystwyth is turning into a ghost town, that its high street is run down and that the empty buildings are depressing. Something must be done to improve this and this does not mean that we want historically relevant sites destroyed in the process but if it means that compulsory purchase orders have to be put on some businesses then so be it (as long as the owners are given financial compensation, as well as free support and advice). Finally and essentially we want to see a brighter, more exciting and economically stable town with better choice, prospects and job opportunities.

- This town is dying, don't let a few shop owners who will not be around in 5 years kill it off totally.

- Aberystwyth needs some positive changes. I have grown up in this town and have children of my own; I am also a student at the university; I would like the opportunity to remain where I am living but cannot face the idea of living in a desolated town if things do not start to improve.

- Although, Iam hoping to go from here soon, I support my daughter, who is involved in this, Aberystwyth needs to change, Look at places like Bangor,Llandudno, they have Marks and Spencers, and Debenhams, what does Aberystwyth have nothing, It is a great shame, as it could have a lovely shopping centre, and be bought up to date, sadly there are people in this town who hate change, and their old fashioned ideas will get them no where.

- So sad to see the town dying before our very eyes. Let common sense prevail and give the locals what they want.

- It's time Aberystwyth moved with the times. I believe that improving Aberystwyth does NOT mean that it will lose any of it's beauty - simply enhance it
