On Saturday August 8th 2009, Al-Huda Society held one of its community summer picnic at the Hopkinton State Park, and which was attended by approximately 250 members of our community. Unfortunately, many of them were stopped by the park employees who forced our community members to park their cars far away from our picnic area (about a mile away) without given them the option to drop off their family members and belongings. As a result, our members had to walk long distance through the woods (up-hill, down-hill, rocks, over the dam...) with their heavy personal belongings, babies, children, elderly and even pregnant women to arrive at our picnic station.
FYI, similar experiences have happened before during our previous picnics at the park.
As a community we strongly believe that the rule of blocking car access to the main picnic area is unfair, unnecessary, and create a huge burden for our members.
Therefore, we kindly urge your park administration to amend this rule and start allowing cars to access the park main picnic area all day, while at the same time maintaining and enforcing proper parking regulations.
Thank you very much for your consideration and attention to our request.

- I also want to add that park employees need to be more people friendly, have common sense and honor the customer service experience.
