Any and all materials bought with government moneys should stay with the department when the MLA leaves OR the equipment should be sold at public auction...nothing bought with expense or crown moneys should remain the property of the MLA. This dishonesty and misrepresentation is what is causing the public to choose to NOT get involved with the management of this province.

  • Epstein best expressed the prevailing attitude of MLAs towards public money. He will not pay for the books because he is entitled and it is legal. Completely lacking is any notion of standards such things as integrity, honest, morality, trustustworthiness, and so on. Just entitled and legal. Maybe the books he bought to make himself a "better MLA" will promote those qualities that seem to be missing. Perhaps some can point to any noteworthy difference between the NDP and the other two parties whose members we are accustomed to watch help themselves to public funds. I cannot.

  • If there is no accountability in this one particular area, where else are they able to rip us off?? This, on top of the plan to increase the HST by 2 \%, is totally unacceptable. If they removed their own lips from the public teat, perhaps we could get some relief from incessant taxation.   • Lets have the AG investigated as well as his timing is most suspect, where was he for the last decade or at least during the Commonwealth Games Bid or after Baker's confusion of his rental/commercial properties which should reflect a concern with public finances in general. One question: who will do the investigation, surely not the HRMP or RCMP?
