This petition is in response to Myspace users having pictures of a nursing child deleted. Our goal in signing this petition is to open the eyes of not only the men and women who run Myspace.com, but also to the public that there is NOTHING offensive or indescent about a mother and child nursing. Breastfeeding is a natural thing and is something that no woman should be made to feel embarrassed about. It is legal in EVERY state to breastfeed in public where any woman and child have the right to be. It is sad that even in this day and age that a woman is expected to retreat to a bathroom or her vehicle to feed her child because it "offends" someone. Myspace has been deleting countless pictures and graphics of a breastfeeding child/mother, yet the ads on their very own home page normally contain scantilly clad women. Not only that, but finding young children in barely there clothing is no hard task. We are asking that the Myspace staff recognize the rights of its users to post their pictures of breastfeeding proudly. If every state allows a woman to breastfeed in public without a law being broken, then why does Myspace have an issue with it?

    • I sign this petition and am 110\% behind the above statement. On myspace I come across countless half naked women and men. I thought this site was to help connect with ppl around the worl and show everybody our true selves!! Now there are so many breastfeeding mothers and that is a huge part of who we are, we should be able to show that!! Its not like we are showing our whole breast to the world (that would be inappropriate) we are simply showing the bond between a mother and her child.

    • If a breastfeeding mother wants to post her pics on Myspace, I see no problem with it. Overtly sexual and often underaged pics are posted all the time yet an innocent breastfeeding picture is sought out and deleted. Breastfeeding is natural and legal. If a mother wants to share that for whatever reason, she should be allowed! Myspace should spend more time hunting down the pedophiles, they aren't hard to find, instead of all the breastfeeding mamas!

    • MySpace is allowing pictures of nearly naked woman, but you attach a baby to her breast and the picture get deleted. If a woman just covering her nipples with her hands isn't nudity then neither is a child nursing from it's mothers breast.
