Help bring Norman Otis Richmond back to CKLN 88.1 FM. He's been around for 25 years, but under new management has been removed from the airwaves. Now ask yourselves this: Is this justified?

    • Why can't he just volunteer like everybody else at CKLN, isn't that what community is about? Or is it just another job?

    • Mr. Richmond must be back on the air waves, the community needs him and he shall be back on air. It is vitally necessary, help yourselves by placing him back. Whom evere made the decision for whatever reason, must realize that this is a matter more important that you may yet know. "Mr. Otis Richmond is back on air ", is what shall be heard soon, make sure, you are one of those that helps to do it, or you may be swept away by the rivers of change, that place him back. CKLNs' democratic board must balance itself again, and reappoint, the shows (people) that have been treated unfairly, simply for being Light Houses of our community. We all know how it works, the light shall melt the shadows. Blessings to all your families and I pray that wisdom guides us all in the decisions we now make.

    • Mr. Richmond has been a powerful, consistent, and vital advocate of excluded and dominated populations in Canada and beyond for a long time. His voice and the struggles of the legions of activists and scholars that he has exposed the CKLN audience to, needs to endure. CKLN's management should show its appreciation to Norman Otis Richmond by restoring to the airwaves the programs that he has so ably produced!!!

    • It goes without saying that Norman is an indispenable world communicator whose value is widely recognized and his absence leaves a considerable void in the distribution of solid, progressive information and analysis.

    • This petetion is misleading, he wasn't "cancelled" he was laid off due to the station's financial state. He culd have chosen to volunteer like evrybody else at CKLN but as he said, ON THE AIR, "If I ain't getting paid, I ain't doing no show". That's the "Real Voice of Commnity Radio" for you.

    • Norman covered critical news of international events not covered by mainstream broadcasters and he covered them intelligently and accurately. He must be restored as the host/producer of a weekly news program.
