  • Classical languages are as relevant now as they ever were to the study of civilization and indeed modern linguistics. Latin and Greek are not dead merely dying due to a disregard for the past for the sake of "moving forward".   • It is quite appalling that these decisions should be rushed before seeing how the new fees arrangement beds down - Classics may well prove more resilient than most, as it's not a subject that people drift into anyway - and without any relation to the nationwide, or even London-wide, subject provision.
