We want to have the laws in the state of connecticut regarding alcohol to be updated and revised. We feel that it's rediculous to prevent stores from selling alcohol after 9pm, on holidays, or on sundays. Connecticut is losing valuable tax dollars to neighboring states, who have already realized that these laws are outdated, and no longer relevant to the lifestyles of today's people. The state is dictating when a business can and can not operate. This should be left up to the store owner. If the owner of the business feels that its not profitable to stay open after 9pm, Then that should be his/her choice.. BUT if they feel they are losing out on sales, they should be allowed stay open for business. The Sunday prohibition of alcohol sales is a puritan, and ultra-conservative law. there is no need for such a law in today's society. It is nothing more than an inconvience to the state, in the form of lost tax dollars, An inconvenience to the store owner in the form of lost revenue, And an inconvenience to the consumer in the obvious inability to purchace the goods that they need, when they need them.
It Makes no sence to allow bars to stay open until 2AM and on sundays, Where people will eventually have to drive home potentially drunk and endanger the lives of themselves and others, But not allow them to buy alcohol for personal consumption in their own home instead, where they will not be harming anyone.
The law is outdated, It is no longer relevant to society, and needs to be repealed immediately.
We thank you for your time and hope you will give this some review.

- Albeit there are a few errors in grammar and word usage, the article makes a valid point regarding these imposed legal restrictions.

- Liquor store owners should be able to choose their hours of operation. Let's end these archaic Blue Laws!
