  • im 24 bmx has kept me out of trouble for years i dont do it to be a lawbreaker or a troublemaker i do it because bmx is the 1 thing in the world that takes everything bad in my life away .i love bmx with all my heart i have gotten a ticket in the states for riding my bike 100 dollars to be exact 100 dollars hurts when your out of work . keep bmx in the park

  • I don't live in chattam or chattam kent really I live in essex county but really skateboarding isn't the only sport that you can go off of ramps and infact BMXing is a bit cheaper saying for a good deck it cost like about around $100-$200 for a peice of wooden on wheels however with that money you can just buy a BMX anyways there is alot of creative things you can do with a bike on a ramp it's really fun and very active and other thing personaly I think the skateboarding population is starting to shrink so when the people decide that skateboarding sucks and BMXing is better then the parks will be pretty much a ghost town and you'll have all that wasted land for nothing.

  • With the growing interest in BMX biking in Chatham-Kent and the ongoing drive to find positive activities for our youth to participate in, I am deeply disappointed in the decision to prohibit bikes from the skate park. Does the damage you believe bikes cause to the park not equal the damage the skateboards themselves do? If the concrete can sustain impact from skateboards, should it not be able to handle that of bikes?
