We, the undersigned fans, would like to express our passion. We are both passionately proud and passionately angry. We are especially angry with the current state of our team, in particular its coaching. We demand that you seriously consider bringing in retired head coach Bill Cowher to take over the Cleveland Browns starting with the 2009 season.
We have followed the Cleveland Browns with undying loyalty through the good and the bad. Some of us are young children and some of us have been season ticket holders for decades. Although most of us are armchair quarterbacks, we are still the ones who fill the seats and foot your bills.
Coach Cowher has the resume and passion to lead our team back to prominence. For the sake of Clevelands forever-loyal fans, consider this petition.

- Cowher started in Cleveland and he can start us on the road to respectability again. With the current staff, we are on the road to nowhere. Please sign Cowher and give him the power to make Browns fan proud again. For the present, we are rapidly becoming ashamed.

- No coach has ever lasted this long with such a poor track record. No Wins vs the Steelers? Come on now and the talent is there. Can he stop Braylon from dropping balls? No Can he make DA be good for 4 quarters? No But Bill Cowher took less talent in Pittsburgh and won a SuperBowl. Enough is enough already! This move makes sense, he's motivational , he ll discipline , and most of all he knows how to win. Plus, it would restore a rivalry with Pitt, just like the OSU Michigan started when Schembechler left OSU to go there.

- While a classy organization shows consistency. A foolish consistency is the hobgoblin of little minds. Time to admit a mistake and look to the long term future.

- Cowher would bring some much needed emotion to the coaching staff which can be described as stoic at best. He would not tolerate certain players running their mouths and not backing it up on the field, which is becoming fairly common on this team. His arrival alone would renew the rivalry that has been 'lacking' for the past few years. The fans deserve better. Bring in Cowher.

- I'm a 20 year old Division 3 college football player and I can coach better than Romeo. We've got talent, we need a good coach to get the most out of our talent.

- Please bring in a coach who rallies this team. I like Romeo is he is a nice guy, he is a players coach because he treats the players nicely. That is great if we were playing hop scotch but we need a man who will fire this team up. Who give this team an attitude that will be respected. The offense is in place, the defense needs some work, Cowher will bring a swagger, and a moxy to this team. It's simple with the "Chin we will win". Have you ever thought of the attitude that he would bring to this team. He will bring the fight back to the Browns which we need.

- No city deserves a winner more than Cleveland. The only way our beloved Browns can bring a championship to Cleveland is by bringing in an established, reputable, and knowledgeable person to run the team. Cowher has every trait that the great city by the lake, the die-hard fans, and the storied organization all deserve. Go Browns (and PLEASE hire Cowher).

- The Browns are on the brink of losing a significant band of fans unless things are turned around soon -- we have lived on hope for years and years but now must be given real sustenance. I have been a fan for fifty frickin years and have never felt so pessimistic about the future of the team.
