Re: Planning application reference 100135 ('Third Don Crossing'
I OBJECT to the above planning application for a Third Don Crossing between Tillydrone and Danestone for the following reasons:

(1) The proposal is contrary to the adopted Aberdeen City local plan Green Spaces; New Places.

(2) The proposal will lead to unacceptable increase volumes in Tillydrone and surrounding areas causing loss of amenity and endangering local residents

(3) The proposal will lead to severe increases in levels on NO.2 in the area endangering the health of local residents;

(4) The proposal will irreversibly damage the River Don and the extensive range of wildlife that live along it.

Please convey my Objection to the relevant council committee.

    • I strongly object to the siting of this bridge in the residential area of Tillydrone. Inviting upwards of 9,000 vehicles daily would have a detrimental effect on the residents of Tillydrone and surrounding neighbourhoods.This plan was rejected by the Scottish Office in 2006/2007, we need to dual the Parkway, upgrade the Haudagain roundabout and proceed with the WPR.

    • I do not see the point in this, why would you close one bridge so there is less traffic and only gives access for residents at Granom Villiage when a new bridge that will bring even more traffic and cause a lot of damage to the enviroment and people that live in the area. Also, the government speak about wanting to make cuts to schools and valuble community centres where people are loosing jobs therefore government and council should stop spending there money on a stupid bridge and spend there money on the more important things in the city! Stop complianing about the unemployed when it is the councils fault a lot of people are unemployed!

    • This absurd proposal should be binned ASAP.It will only create a new Haudigan at St Macher Drive and have an accident blackstop in waiting as people and children try to cross a busy road to get the bus into town.Tillydrone has many young and old living in the area and their safety should without doubt be in the forefront of any council decision.
