We, The Undersigned,
Respectfully demand that the management of the Washington Redskins National Football League franchise spare no effort to drastically improve the talent and production of the team's offensive and defensive lines in 2009. No offense or defense can thrive without a strong presence at the line of scrimmage and the Washington Redskins have allowed their lines to deteriorate through the years due to neglect and an ill-advised policy of throwing dollars at aging free agents who are no longer capable of earning their large salaries. [Bruce Smith and Jason Taylor are cited as examples of this.]
During the 2009 NFL Draft and the free agent period, the management of the Washington Redskins must improve the offensive and defensive lines by investing in young talent capable of sustaining the team in the years to come. The failed policy of principal owner Daniel Snyder of chasing high-profile "skilled" players and ignoring the long-term needs of the offensive and defensive lines must be ended and reversed.
Thank you.

- Snyder - we know (regretfully) that you will never sell the team. But, end your affair immediately with Vinny - get a real GM, talent evaluator, etc. You are no Jerry Jones, and Skins Nation does not want a JJ running this team. Get a clue and structure the front office the right way. Snyder SUCKS!!!

- Life long Redskins fan. I will never quit pulling for them but our glory days were built on the backs of the Hogs please get some guys in there to block. We have good skill players just no time to throw and no holes to run through!!! Please fix BOTH lines!

- I'll never give up on the skins, but this year's O-line makes it hard to stay a fan. Unless something is done, next year will be REAL ugly.

- I could not agree more. The game is won or lost in the trenches. You can see it every week: we don't win the up front battles consistently. This HAS to change. Dump the dogs--get me some HOGS!!!!

- These positions have been neglected for far too long. Even I know that it all comes down to good line play, and I'm a schmuck. The Redskins are old and falling apart.. For the love of all things burgundy and gold, draft some young line talent!

- I have been a Skins fan my entire life and will always be a fan, but lately it has been hard to root for the skins. The fact of the matter is that it is true the entire line needs to be addressed it seems that no one else is naming names but I will Stephon Heyer needs to be cut after this season I know he played local ball at MD but he is a BUST and Jansen who I really like is literally on his last legs. As for the defensive line for years I have had one word for them PATHETIC absolutely horrible we have not been able to get consistent pressure on quarterbacks let alone sacks since the days of Charles Mann and Dexter Manley. I wonder if thats just a coincidence in those days we had the HOGS and we had DEFENSIVE lineMEN and we were consistent WINNERS. Our secondary is fine Springs is hurt to often though Hall has surprisingly done a great job I hope we keep him. Linebackers are just fine. I wrote a lot but HELL I'M FRUSTRATED.

- Zorn needs to realize that you have to throw down the field and be aggressive he should know this being an ex-quarterback in this league and his hall of famer recevier steve largent didn't catch no dink and donk passes. It is depressing watching this, play calling is horrible

- i just want us to be like other teams that give their QBs time to throw downfield!! also i would like us to sack the QB at least once a game...is that too much to ask?...other teams get pressure on the other teams QB but we never do...our secondary and LBs have to be the best in the league because our Dline is so weak....
