Dubai Metro opening hours should be extended

The residents of Dubai welcome the introduction of the Dubai Metro, given all the social, economic and environmental benefits it brings.

However, we urge Dubai's Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) to reconsider the opening times of the Metro.

During Ramadan, trains operate from 6am to midnight from Saturday to Thursday, and from 2pm to midnight on Friday. Outside Ramadan, the operating hours are 6am to 11pm from Saturday to Thursday, and 2pm to midnight on Friday.

We urge that, after the initial launch period, these times should be extended. We feel that 12.30am would be a more suitable closing time during week days, and that the Metro should also open earlier on Fridays.
