The military dictatorship of the Union of Burma, in
defiance of the will of its Peoples, as overwhelmingly
expressed in the elections of 1990, has once again bared
its true and ugly face to the world, by the extreme
violence manifested towards Daw Aung San Suu Kyi and
those who have sought to protect and to assist her.
(Daw Aung San Suu Kyi is leader of the NLD party which
secured 81\% of the seats in the parliament that was never
allowed to convene and is daughter of one of the
principal architects of the Union's independence)
The said lawless dictatorship is responsible for :
-- fostering and promoting, over many years, systematic
atrocities and gross human rights abuses including the
murder of innocent civilians of all ages and both sexes,
wholesale burning of villages and crops, looting and
expropriation of property, and slavery;
-- the indefinite detention under inhumane conditions, of
more than one thousand persons who have expressed their
support for democracy;
-- political, economic and military instability in the
Region.
No amount of the regime's habitual lies and deceit can
hide these facts.
We, the undersigned, therefore call upon all freedom-
loving peoples of the world, and their governments, and
the United Nations, to support by all and every means
that may be necessary the removal of the Burmese junta
and its replacement by democratic rule.
Let there be no respite in the measures, no relaxing of
our efforts, until this object has been fully achieved.

- Two cries of the oppressed will be stronger: one of the ethnic groups such as Shan and Karen who have long been the subject of ruthless opression for their culture, ethnicity and identity, and the other that of the Burmese democracy represented by Daw Aung San Suu Kyi.

- Dear world leaders...no more mere lip service please...please follow your words with actions...burmese people are suffering for decades...the butchers of burma don't understand diplomatic words...they do understand only actions...down with spdc thugs!...down with taw-kyaung and opportunists!...the people's desire of 1990 will eventually prevail by means of dialogue between the NLD and SPDC!...our unity will pressure the illegitimate SPDC to come to the table... and drive out the opportunists and taw kyaung!...
