To the attention of Ubisoft Montreal, developers of Assassin's Creed 2.
As fans of the Assassin's Creed series, we have been thrilled by chapter II being set in the splendid city of Venice. However, the "improvedly ethnic" voiceovers from the latest E3 trailers had something which bugged us.
Those voiceovers were not real italian speech, but that of late italo-american immigrants in the likes of The Sopranos: ridden with wrong accents and poor choices of words. Yet a long way from stopping us from buying the game, we think this "itarian" language sounds inauthentic and fake to the overall atmosphere of the game. Ultimately lowering the value of the international english version.
Our humble suggestion to you, is having your localization team from Italy to fill in these italian-only roles. Similarly to the case of the Arabic language in Assassin's Creed chapter 1. The italian team's mother-language skills would enrich the game's already marvelous array of features even more.

- The language "Maccheroni-Italian" adopted and heard in these demoes, doesn't cope with the splendid settings in the North of Italy! For the final version of the game, please make an effort to make those voices more credibles by using your italian localization team to do the voiceovers!

- Got this from a forum on gamespot. I think they should use at least strong Italian accents.

- FOR GOD SAKE if you want an italian inflection, take a real italian to do the voice acting. Suprisingly it wont sound like freaking Mario from Nintendo. ITALIANS. DONT. SPEAK. THAT. WAY. For chrissake.
