We, the Wrestling Fans of the World, humbly request that Vincent J. McMahon, Chairman of World Wrestling Entertainment Inc., recruit and retain, via suitable contract, the services of the wrestler known as Ric Byrne, late of Heartland Wrestling Association (HWA), for active participation in the re-launch of the Extreme Championship Wrestling (ECW) Brand. We further think that, after many years in the Sports Entertainment field, Mr. Byrne is of excellent character and has "paid his dues", and therefore should be given full opportunity for promotion and a suitable "push" within the ranks of the ECW promotion once so recruited.

    • To bring about the aura of ECW, you will have to have new talent, that can entertain and develop the following that the veterans have. Those veterans were once unknowns, but through the opportunity to proove themselves the became what you hear chanted to this day, all over arenas everywhere - "ECW . . . ECW . . . . ECW!!! " It is thus that we need the wrestlers of the future, today. Ric Byrne is one of them, and he would be a strong foundation, a talented wrestler, an entertaining performer, and a loyal employee. Bring him into the fold of ECW, and you see the embodiment of wrestling and dedication that is ECW.

    • I have watched Ric Byrne's career for the past several years, both inside the HWA and outside of it. I have found that when Ric Byrne is given the freedom to do so, he tells incredible stories in the ring, and there are few people who show his promise and natural ability on the microphone. Adding in the real-life trauma that caused his burns scars makes for an opportunity to tell any number of inspirational or personal horror stories that could not be told with another wrestler. Adding Ric Byrne to the ECW roster would be a win/win for both creative and in-ring sides of the ECW Brand.

    • I have known Ric for a LONG time and I have watched him progress from fan to indie favorite. He is as real as it gets. No ego, no BS. Just talent. It is my opinion that Ric would be beneficial to both the ECW and WWE lineup for his in ring ability, persona and genuine love for the business. Listen to the fans. Give Ric a tryout!!!
