I am concerned regarding the linking of the sports channel RDS exclusively with the French language package made available through Eastlink. In previous years RDS was available on Eastlink as a single-purchase stand-alone channel for $2.95/month. With the NHL regular season soon upon us, I request that RDS be once again made available as a stand-alone or made available as part of the Sports Package presently available for $4.00/month. I would have no problem spending the extra dollar to enjoy (among others) the NHL Network or ESPN Classics Canada; however, as a largely unilingual Montreal Canadiens fan, the only channel of any value to me in the French package is RDS because of their exclusive rights to carry the Montreal Canadiens broadcasts.
