We urge all employers in Singapore to consider employing Singaporeans first before cheaper and younger foreigners.

The recent high influx of foreigner workers in our midst have cause many local workers to be sidelined and unemployed. Some have also took the extreme measure of ending their own lives as they don't see a quick end to the problem.

If you agree with us, do support this petition so that we can rally together and provide hope to our fellow Singaporeans.

    • Especially, the S-Passes scheme is a killler to local Singaporean. S-Pass holders are getting S$1,800 or more per month. I have been to many goverment link organisations and hotels and I could see many of the counters staff are from Philippines, Malaysia, China, India, etc

    • Pick the best person for the job, but do not shut the doors on Singaporean candidates just because they cost more. Train the local workers well, give them more responsibilities to live up to their higher salaries and familiarity with our country; and have realistic expectations of them. If they still do not match up to foreign workers, redeploy them or counsel them until all avenues are exhausted. That is all I ask.

    • foreigner are only taking here for temporary shelter here in s'pore and we should really employed s'porean first before them. Why is Gov only taking care of their own levy benefits by adding more foreigners & more, instead of looking into s'porean job needs. Do remember without s'porean effort & trust, since 40yrs back, Singapore will not be developed into city,etc. with Pap.
