We, the undersigned, are no longer tolerant of Political Correctness as an excuse to undermine language, holidays, customs or beliefs. We will continue to speak without intending to cause offence or harm, believing the practice of modifying our language and customs to pacify recent members of our community to be patronising to those people supposedly offended.
We will continue to wish others a Merry Christmas in the spirit of goodwill. Conversely we will not be offended if we are in turned wished a Happy Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, Ramadan, or any of the other greetings associated with festivals celebrated by other cultures in a similar spirit of goodwill. Similarly we will continue to take part in festivals pertaining to our respective faiths and invite others to do the same without fear of insult or harm.
Similarly, we believe Santa Claus, Saint Nicholas, and Father Christmas, in all his names and incarnations, to say Ho Ho Ho as a form of laughter, not a form of insult.
We believe words containing the word "man" can relate to both men and women in the description of items. For example, we believe entrances to certain underground utilities to be called "manholes", but can be used by both men and women.
We believe the use of colour in every day speech is not necessarily a racist connotation. For example we will continue to drink our black tea and black coffee by not adding milk to it.
We believe our children are intelligent enough to, among other things:
- realise cartoon violence belongs in cartoons and certain comedy acts (such as The Three Stooges), and that while they shouldn't be used in real life, they can be enjoyed when presented as fiction.
- accept defeat in competition, and responsibility for their actions
- enjoy nursery rhymes such as "Baa Baa Black Sheep" and "Humpty Dumpty" without any underlying connotations, whether real but lost over time, or imagined.
- enjoy stories such as "The Three Little Pigs" and "Snow White and the Seven Dwarves" without malice towards others (for example Muslims or sufferers of dwarfism)
- learn from early childrens programming, including Sesame Street, despite warnings that episodes of these shows are now not deemed suitable for children.
In the spirit of these beliefs, we denounce the use of slurs relating to race, religion, sexual preference or gender. We believe words used solely for this purpose have no place in everyday language and should, rightly, be contested.

- It is time to celebrate diversity - not restrict how we express our traditions and culture just because it might offend someone

- Pretty soon, every word in the English language will be deemed not politically correct"- Please people, the more we try and be "politically" correct, the more we actually stomp on people's human rights

- I always thought that this was a free country and that we had freedom of speech. It appears this is not so. All this rubbish of political correctness is driving many of us out of our country why on earth we let others tell us whats right and whats wrong, how we weigh things, how we teach our children is way beyond me and its about time some of us stood up and put an end to it all but where do we go? I just want it back as it was before all these do gooders got their way PS good on the Mayor of Doncaster (read to days daily star)

- In addition, let me say that I believe the tragedy at Ft. Hood could have been prevented, if not for the PC attitude of Army authorities who were told of the shooter's anti-American attitudes and his violent opposition to Americans fighting Muslims, but did not pursue it for fear of being accused of harrassing a Muslim. How many more deaths must occur before we stop this lunacy?

- I feel that if people do not like the traditions of this country they should find a country that believes the way they do but leave Americans and our freedoms alone.

- Political correctness has ruined this country. If PC is so great, how come we have more problems in schools, government, and in society in general than before PC was introduced.

- racism and insulting behaviour towards differtent cultures has no place in our society but i beleive political correctness has gone over the top and is turning PC into a joke, taking away the seriousness of anti social behaviour towards others.

- I am aware that political correctness is at times necessary in the fight againts racism which I support It has now become farcical and while I beleive that other religions and cultures must be repected in our society. I also beleive that we should be able to celebrate christmas and other cultural festivals without prejudice.
