Change new FINAL DESTINATION 4 title back to FINAL DESTINATION 4!

On August 14th, 2009, Warner Bros./Newline Cinema will release the latest installment in the Final Destination franchise. I, like so many other fans cannot wait for it, and are thrilled that a new FD will be coming to our screens next summer. Warner Bros/Newline Cinema have however decided to change the name of the film from "Final Destination 4" to "Final Destination: Death Trip 3D".

...I know we're lucky to be getting this new installment-but...that new title?! It makes me want to hurl! It's awful and sounds like a theme park ride. I know this is meant to be a stand alone movie but sometimes make it to stand alone and you'll get a negative outcome. The FD franchise is extremely well known and supported by a wide audience; all of who are familiar with the simple string of the movies titles. Confuse them however with a title which highly diffuses itself with FD then this movie may very well not make as much money. The FD franchise is a dark, fun, supernatural thriller which is not meant for kids awaiting to go to themparks!

Such a title is totally unrealistic for marketing. How will they fit that on bus advertisement? Or trailers? When the trailer comes out, and that title flashes to center screen, you can bet money that you'll here an array of sniggers and cringe filled laughs in the cinema.

It may not seem like a big deal, but if you look at it in detail-it is!

    • I really feel like people who want to go see a GOOD film, will not think "Death Trip" is the one to see in cinemas. It's totally pointless to add "Death Trip" on the end.

    • I am incredibly excited to see this movie. However, this name feel inapropriate for the movie itself. Please change it back to FD4. I am a giant fan of this series and I don't want to spend $30 (I plan to see it more than once) on this film with this horrible title. Please change it back.

    • CHANGE IT BACK! - The current title looks tacky... my friends would laugh to no end! The number 4 looks professional and it doesn't confuse those who are familiar with the other films in the series.

    • I am a HUGE fan of Final Destination films. I was so happy that they were makeing FD4 and that is was gonna be in 3D. The tittle is just stupid. the 3rd one didn't hit well with some fans. Now that it is Death trip 3D think about it. Do you really want this great series end by a tittle?I hope you hear us out.
