This petition is here to urge the government to release Lynette "Squeaky" Fromme from the jail that binds her from freedom. Like most of us, Lynette was falsely accused and wrongly jailed all because of a big misunderstanding and it is time for her to be set free NOW! She was just someone trying make a statement and stand up for what she believed in but unfortunately, the law misunderstood her intentions and locked her up without giving her the chance to speak in her own defense and make some sense out of the situation. Yes, her actions were extreme but clearly justified. She just wanted to be heard and saw her actions as the only alternative. It's time to make a stand now and see that justice is truly served. She has served enough time in prison and it is time NOW to allow her to live once again in peace. The time has truly come.

    • Lyn is a very non violent individual and considering the fact that she has hurt no one, she deserves to be released. She only wanted to be a voice for our earth and for the animals who can't be heard themselves. Thank You and as always, peace!

    • Miss Fromme's sentance was way to harsh. She was high profile and a Mansonite, so they stuck it to her! She should have been out years ago.

    • Some people are doing life for drug offenses - this woman attempted to kill the President! You do the crime, DO THE TIME! Manson's gang killed Sharon Tate and cut out her UNBORN CHILD - why should Squeaky go free? Let her rot!

    • Ms.Fromme did not commit a murder however she is serving more time then most murderers do. I believe Ms. Fromme should be released and her cell should be given to someone who is truly deserving of it! I believe she has served enough time and has proved that she would be a positive asset to our society. Thank You

    • Lyn should definetely have gotten the lesser charge. No one was harmed by her actions. Just because you all want to destroy the earth doesn't mean someone who cares should be condemned.

    • red should be free. Her concern is for the survival of this planet. Her dedication is commendable. She has a wonderful philosophy and her situation deserves serious reconsideration. Bright blessings for ATWA.

    • To all the people who signed this petition and printed garbage about Lynette, you all deserve whatever pain comes to you because you are VERY sick individuals. If you were in her position right now sitting next to Big Mama or Bubba, you damn well would be singing a different tune. Remember what your mama told you: "IF YOU CAN'T SAY SOMETHING NICE, DON'T SAY ANYTHING AT ALL!"

    • Whilst I do not believe Lynette's actions where justifiable, neither do I believe a charge of attempted assination is justifiable with an unloaded weapon especially as the accused was heard by an independant witness stating that fact. I fully understand the alarm surrounding the incident, however I feel the assasination charge and consequent life sentence to be gross miscarraiges of justice.
