Transportation for our children in Florida. At this moment there is a two (2) mile rule. If you live within two (2) miles of your child's school, then it is your responsibility to get your child to that school or to have them walk. Some parents don't have the finances to provide transportation nor the means to do so. This leaves them with no choice of allowing their child to walk to and from school, which puts them dangerously at risk. There are currently too many children going missing these days. We pay taxes and our state should help provide safe transportation to and from school whether it is two (2) miles or two (2) blocks. I don't know of any parent who wants to worry on a daily basis of whether or not their child made it to school or home from school.

Please bring back safe transportation to our children in the state of Florida, to and from their assigned schools.

    • I have 5 grandchildren 3 are in school. I worry about them when the just walk 1 block from there home. Sometimes there mother takes them and she always picks them up. Save these children from having to walk more than a block to and from school.

    • I don't have any kids but what is happening to these children all over is sick.We need to make these children safe ,its bad enough parents have to worry about there children getting beat up and shot while they are trying to learn,never mind being kidnapped and raped and mutilated and then discarded in a dump site.This is sick and it does not matter what it cost to protect the children,they should come first and be protected from these monsters and these monsters should be dealt the same punishment that they dealt these poor innocent children.

    • I believe firmly that this petition if approved will be IMMENSELY helpful in the protection & safety of our children. Providing addtional transportation for children within the 2 mile radius will not only lessen missing children but give our communities peace of mind. God be with the familys of children abducted walking to & from school. Obama's slogan was "CHANGE" ... so when will we see this "Change"? Or when will it be too late? ..
