We the undersigned members of the community are submitting this letter to express our OPPOSITION for the approval of the petition made by IB Development, LLC to build a WASTE TREATMENT FACILITY within the planned subdivision вThe Woodsв on Route 84 near Cox Road in Weddington.

We believe the building of this facility will pose a serious health hazard to members of the community and wildlife in the surrounding area. Additionally we are concerned of the negative impact this facility will cause on home values, quality of life and possible proliferation of like facilities throughout Union County.

We respectfully request that you reject this proposal.

    • We are opposed due to environmental concerns from wastewater contaminating our lakes and streams through runoff and/or the potential of a plant failure. We are also opposed due to concerns this will substantially affect the value of homes in Aero Plantation and nearby neighborhoods and property owners. We are opposed that this will set a precedent for Weddington, Union County and North Carolina.

    • I believe it is time for you to consider your responcibility to the current homeowners of Weddington instead of trying to pave the way for speculation presented by some developers that don't live here nor do they have any interest here except making a profit on the backs of Weddington residents. We voted you in the represent us not a group of investers that will make their money and then go on their way and leave us the problems that will arise from this folly.
