In response to the "National Day of Prayer." A clearly unconstitutional and illegal "holiday." We the Atheists, Agnostics, and Free-Thinkers of these United States demand a "National Day of Free-Thought"

This holiday should be celebrated on the last week of April, because one should always Think before one Prays

This day would serve the following functions

1. To pay tribute to famous and non-famous Atheists, Agnostics, and other Free-Thinking Americans who helped made this country great, either by helping to found it(Thomas Hefferson, Thomas Paine), dieing for it(Pat Tilman), Fighting for it(Maaf.info ** this petition is no way endorsed by this website or organisation **) and by helping invent the scientific marvels that put us where we are today.

2. To request that before resorting to prayer, our national, state, and local leaders should attempt to think about the problems faced by their constituencies and try to resolve them through reason and logic.

3. To help bring to light the silent pain suffered so often alone by "In the Closet" atheists agnostics and other free-thinkers, who fear harm, and ostrication if their true beliefs were found out.
