  • This guy's a moron... his trying to "protect society" when all he's doing is pissing off us gamers. However, I think the E10+ rating is okay. I mean on Shadow the Hedgehog, when you die he says "damn". With the old ratings, that'd be too much for an E game (6 years+) but not bad enough for a T game (13+) so we kinda needed something in the middle. But still, what's the point in cancelling Bully? You'd have to be 17+ to buy it, so if little kids DO get their hands on 'em, it's the goddamn parents fault.

  • This man severely chastises and instigates those who play video games into situations to try and make him look better or correct. Recently on a gaming web site where a suicide by a young man that took place in which posted his final words. Jack Thompson shortly after posted insulting words about the man who died and those who knew him and tried to help... blatantly trying to anger the gaming community in which he posted his comments on many websites dedicated to gaming. This man manipulates the reasoning behind violent crimes into his cause to ban video games and uses religion in very wrong ways to further his power and publicity. This man is not fit to be a lawyer.

  • This whole situation is quite sad. Men like you Mr. Thompson are the whole reason I do not believe in God. Yes, I am a gamer, but does that mean I am truly a terrible person?? I think not. I simply have a wonderous imagination and use gaming as a release; a way to express my creativity in a positive way. I am not sure what to say to all of this except for this...a grow man such as yourself is a bad role model for my generation and the younger ones. Keep your religion to yourself!! Realize that this world does not revolve around the need for religion any more. Religion is a good idea but executed poorly, man cannot live without believing in something.

  • Usually, I wouldn't dignify this man with a response, and I'd go about my way, letting him express his views. His thinks that games are evil, and that they should be removed in their entirety is completely insane, but also viewing this from an economic stand-point. HUGE amounts of money are made by the sale of video games each year. Even if he gained some measure of his goal.....and did manage to put some sort of ban on video games....then there'd be even more video games being sold and played......Hey Jack....You ever heard of the roaring twenties?? Oh yeah, that's right...I shouldn't know about the 20's, I never leave my computer! I don't even know where the dictionary is!!!!!! They'd made even more money when alcohol was illegal.So you would have us repeat the 20's? . But I digress. You have no right to use Mitch in any way, and especially the way you used his death to lash out at gamers and games. That's sick, completely and utterly.

I agree that games shouldn't be distributed to those under-age, but then again, isn't that what ratings are for?
