- This road is used as a 'rat run' with cars traveling at excessive speeds something must be done before a child is injured or killed

- Stopping distances at 30mph are 23 metres vs 12 metres at 20mph - at present the 30mph limit, no crossing, no crossing guard, poor visibility makes station road a hazard for children. Please don't wait for an accident to happen - give us a crossing and 20mph speed limit now. It can't wait until it's too late!

- The yellow strip of anti slip crossing surface and baby foot prints leading to it are more dangerous than ever. They mislead children into thinking it is their right of way which it is not. There are no warning signs of children crossing and it is not visible to car drivers.

- Children Safety outside school should be paramount. There should be a strictly no parking area outside policed regularly with random on the spot fines like at my primary school Milford Infants School Yeovil.

- It would be great if there could be a safe place to cross in Station Road, Flax Bourton. Children going to Flax Bourton School or on their way to the open fields, beautiful cycle path, playground and playing fields at Farleigh Green currently have no safe place to cross. The recent changes to the road markings give children the impression that they have a right of way (the coloured tarmacand blue footprints) whilst giving no indication to car drivers that there is a crossing point to slow down for. Car drivers clearly need a more visible reason to kill their speed. A zebra crossing or similar would be much more visible and reinforce the need to slow down for pedestrians.

- the current crossing arrangements (there arent any!!) are serriously dangerous. the access to the school is across a straight road used as a short cut by many drivers who feel it unneccessary to slow down for people crossing the road or making any allowance for the young children in the area. the road must have traffic calming and safe crossing installed before anyone gets hurt.

- Kids are confused, they think it's a crossing outside of school and carry on walking across, there have been a few near misses including my son James. Cars don't slow down as it isn't a proper crossing!

- The speed limit needs to be lowered because there is very poor visability for pedestrians crossing the road as well as for vehicles travelling towards the A370 and leaving the school car park.
