Free choice of Australian electronic tax platform

The Australian Tax Office, by creating electronic tax submission software that only works on a single proprietary platform, is supporting a monopoly and denying taxpayers freedom of choice. We therefore demand that the ATO produce a cross-platform solution as expeditiously as possible, no later than the start of the filing season for the 2009-2010 tax year. This solution should at least work on the three most popular platforms, Windows, Linux and Mac OS X, and ideally should be a platform-independent implementation so as not to preclude other choices of personal and business computing platforms.
