Support for 2nd Saturday Art Walks at The Market Common, Myrtle Beach

Our organization, The Global Awareness Project, has been approached by the Market Common to co-ordinate art walks from June through September of 2009. The art walks will involve local artists and we are extending the invitation to out of town and out of state artists to develop a stronger cultural impact. The events will run all day and we are developing a grant for the city to help fund these so we can make this a full day festival that will feature live bands, street performers and a fully stocked art tent for kids and families to get creative. Each walk will have a monthly theme, for example a focus on environmental issues one month and kids the next, to help create a stronger presence for our community service organizations.
We are asking for your support so when we meet with the city and pitch our cause we can have a stronger voice and presence. Please sign this petition and pass it on to your email database so we can stand united behind this cultural event that will help shape the future of our arts scene, many thanks, Carl and Jessica founders of The Global Awareness Project.
