Attention General Assembly Members of The State of Georgia-
We the people of Georgia do hereby sign this petition in full support of lowering the "blood alcohol content" from 0.10 grams to 0.08 grams in respect to "Hunting and Boating Under The Influence of Alcohol" (OCGA 27-3-7 and 52-7-12). This proposed change provides for more stringent and tighter tolerances regarding Under The Influence of Alcohol acts in Georgias outdoor sports, a reduction of 0.02 gram of the person's alcohol concentration, so that the change provides that it is a crime to be in such an impaired state of being under the influence of alcohol to the extent that it is less safe for the person to hunt/boat and/or the person's alcohol concentration is 0.08 grams or more at any time within three hours after such hunting/boating from alcohol consumed before such hunting/boating ended. This proposed change would bring inline Georgias Under The Influence of Alcohol, as the highway standard is 0.08. The most warranted result of the proposed change would be to lower alcohol related injuries in the Georgia outdoors. With our signature we ask that all legislative members vote favorably on this measure and aid it in its processes through to becoming law. This change is in the best interest of public safety and the betterment of Georgias Outdoor hunting and boating heritages.
