Currently, Garmin software is only supported for Windows 2000 and up. We would like to see Garmin Cartography software, such as Mapsource, ported to the Linux operating system. We would also like to point out that many people in the Linux community would be glad to help out in the porting and beta testing of the software.

    • Closed source would be better than nothing, but open source might open a whole new market for you !

    • I own 4 different handheld garmins, the most current a 60csx. you can put this unit into USB mass storage mode, so all you would need is mapsource to be able to write data(waypoints, tracks, routes, maps) to the card in this mode, and a way to install mapsource in linux.
