Too many in Congress and the Senate appear to be there for the wrong reasons. Some have made their fortunes and now want to be a part of the most exclusive club on Earth. Some go there to enrich themselves. Some are there because they want to some day be President

We've all heard the old platitude "he went to Washington to change Washington - then Washington changed him! (or her)" That continues to happen because the people we send are often far from altruistic.

We would be better served by representatives who are there AGAINST their will, who were badgered or even shamed into taking the job.

The problem with many representatives is that their ambition makes them useless. They do not want to risk their careers by making waves, exposing those who are corrupt. We need representatives in the House and Senate who will not be bullied - because they are not worried about there next vertical move toward glory.

In 2010, Barack Obama's former Senate seat will be up for re-election. The state of Illinois desperately needs a US Senator who will represent the state with honor, dignity and effectiveness.

Gary Sinise, YOU would make an excellent choice for the citizens of Illinois.

Gary Sinise is more than a highly regarded actor from Illinois. He is well known for his humanitarian work and public service.

Some highlights:

Co founder of the Iraqi Children Fund that sends school supplies to Iraqi children.
Tireless supporter of the troops who travels the with his band to entertain them.
2005 - Humanitarian Award, Catholics in Media Associates
2006 - Received Superior Public Service Award
2008 - awarded the Presidential Citizen Medal, the second highest civilian medal awarded to U.S. civilians. He received the medal from President George W. Bush for his humanitarian contributions to Iraqi school children and his involvement in the USO.

Most importantly, Sinise would be a great candidate because he isn't SEEKING political office. This is a grass-roots endeavor to "DRAFT" highly venerable individuals to become candidates at great sacrifice and preferably against their better judgment
