We the undersigned are kindly requesting that the BBC changes its policy on the negative, one sided reporting of the current situation in Greece. We are asking that you send your reporters out into the areas of Greece that are not affected by riots, demonstrations and violence.
The current trend in media reporting is having a detrimental effect on tourism which must be addressed. We understand that news is important, and people have a right to know about current situations, but this news must be balanced. Let the world see that Greece is not a violent country and that these acts are by small minorities. Greece depends on tourism and in these difficult times it is not fair for media organisations to portray Greece as a violent and dangerous destination. We are asking you to balance your reports on the good things that are happening in Greece, the community spirit, both locally and internationally who are trying to make Greece a better place.

- The way to put a country down is to keep coming out with a load of rubbish. Yes there is some unrest but you would think it was World War 3. Get a grip BBC - try to have a balanced view. People here still have to make a living and you are scaring tourists. There is no need for this. Maybe it adds to your viewing figures but it takes the food out of the mouths of children. The tourist industry is what Greece thrives on - let us live.

- I've been visiting the country for several years now. When we hear of the horrors in our country. Murders, child abuse and social breakdown I am ashamed to be British. The Greeks can't understand us! They are great people and the negative reporting only shows a small group of anarchists who are encouraged by the Communist leaders to take any opportunity to cause trouble. There is however corruption within the Government and authorities. I can understand the reluctance to pay tax so this has to be tackles as we had to do with our own Government..
