This petition is to Retract the release Date of the film Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince distributed by Warner Bros. Entertainment. On Thursday August 14th 2008 Warner Bros. announced the delaying of the above mentioned film to July 17th 2009. We (the signers of this petition) would like Warner Bros. Entertainment to release the film on it's original release dte of November 21st 2008.
Warner Bros. Entertainment announced the Delay of Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince was not due to production delay but would make a better summer tent-pole release showing complete disregard to fans of the Harry Potter franchise. the release of previous Harry Potter films have been shown to reach large audiences when released in fall.
By reschulding the realease date for Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince Warner bros. Entertainment is showing a complete disregard for fans and the audience of this highly antcipated film.

- this is an outrage..you have been making millions of fans wait for this november release and then not even 4months before its supposed to come out you say your pushing it to a year away? are you out of your mind? i cried when i found this out ok. im sure im not the only one who was this upset by it. you will still make your money trust me. i go see it more than once in the theatre and im sure other crazy fans will too. please reconsider and allow this movie to come out in november. i cant wait 2 years for a new potter movie. and plus the excitement for the "hallows" movie will be even better because well be waiting a year for it, not 4 months.thanks again..a VERY UPSET/SAD crazy fanatic potter fan

- I just found out a few minutes ago that WB changed the production date to my birthday. I have to admit, it would be a good present, but I'm OUTRAGED nonetheless!!! They can't just do that! Especially after they set out the teaser trailer! Now we'll be taunted for 11 MONTHS!!! I will not stand for it!! I cried when I found out, and I'm happy to sign this petition right now. Signed, a devastated 16-year-old Harry Potter fanatic from Ohio.

- Please change the release date, making more money is not a valid excuse to postpone a film so highly anticipated.

- Warner Bros released the teaser to peak interest and have always known that they were going to release the movie in July. You are greedy, misleading and fans are not happy, as you can see. I hope this backfires on you

- Dear Warner Brothers: The FANS are the ones who have earned you all this money from the franchise.. the FANS should be considered before making this sort of decision. Summer has nothing to do with sales because guess what. the fans will be there even if you release it on Thanksgiving.. screw the family dinner.

- I refuse to see another Warner Brothers movie EVER, untill Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince comes out!!! You greedy muggles! How dare you upset the so loyal HP fans by dealying the movie an extra 237 days!!! A few months is one thing, but 237 days!!!! grrr..... why? Just for your finacial reasons! You make enough money, why not at least allow us to TRY and COMPROMISE, please?!?!???!
