WE WANT U TO COME FORWARD AND PROTEST ON THE BANNING OF HOOKAH AND YOUR RIGHTS TO DECIDE WHAT U WANT TO HAVEW OR NOT. MAYOR OF MUMBAI IS WANTING TO BAN HOOKAH BUT NOT CIGARETTES. SHE WANTS TO PROTECT THE YOUNG GENERATION OF MUMBAI. HOW MANY PERCENT OF SMOKERS OF CIGARETTES IN MUMBAI ARE YOUNGSTERS ? IF HOOKAH IS HARMFUL THEN CIGARETTES KILL.. THEY R THE CAUSE CANCER TESTED AND PROVED ...MAYOR WANTS TO PROTECT WOMEN FROMSMOKING HOOKAHS. DOES SHE KNOW THE COUNT OF GIRLS SMOKING CIGARTTES HAS GONE UP CONSIDERABLY IN PAST FEW YEARS... IF THE CIGARRETE ACT STATES THAT CIGARETTES CAN BE SERVED IN RESTARAUNTS THEN WHY SHOULD HOOKAH BE BANNED , JUST BCOS THE CIGARETTE COMPANIES FILL THE GOVERNMENTS POCKETS WITH REVENUE.. WHEN PEOPLE DIE BCOS OF CIGARETTES TAT IS NOT CONSIDERED.. WHEN PEOPLE DIE OF ALCOHOL THEN ALSO IT IS SERVED AND SOLD EVERY NOOK AND CORNER IN MUMBAI...EVERY FIVE STAR HOTEL IN MUMBAI SERVES ALCOHOL AND CIGARETTES . IT IS SOLD BELOW EVERY SCHOOL COLLEGE HOSPITALS. THERE R LICENSES TO SELL ALCOHOL WHICH ARE VERY PRICEY ALSO ... SO ALL THIS IS ALLOWED BUT NOT HOOKAH EVEN THOUGH THERE HAVE BEEN NO DISEASES OR DEATHS REGISTERED IN PAST YEAR BCOS OF HOOKAH..
WHY IS THE BMC DOING THIS DISCRIMINATION WITH THE HOOKAH RESTAURANTS. IN INDIA THERE IS NO LAW IN THE CONSTITUTION ON HOOKAH AND HOOKAH HAS BEEN IN INDIAN TRADITION SINCE AGES . OUR ANCESTORS USED TO HAVE HOOKAH EVEN THE KINGS USED TOO AND HOOKAH IS STILL HAD IN NORTH INDIA. INDIA IS A DEMOCRATIC COUNTRY AND PEOPLE HAVE THE RIGHTS TO CHOOSE WHAT THEY WANT TO HAVE OR NOT. NO ONE CAN FORCE THEM OR IMPOSE SOMETHING ON THEM.
AS THE MAYOR IS THE 1ST CITIZEN OF MUMBAI SHE SHOULD KNOW SHE CANNOT DEPRIVE ANY CITIZEN OF MUMBAI OF THEIR RIGHT TO CHOOSE . THE BMC IS ACTING JUST STUBBORN AND SENDING NOTICES TO HOOKAH RESTAURANTS SAYING THAT THEY SHALL REVOKE THE LICENCES OF HOOKAH RESTAURANTS , BUT ON WHAT GROUNDS ON WHAT ARTICLES WHEN THERE IS NO LAW ON HOOKAH. IF THERE IS ANY THEN PLEASE TELL US WE SHALL WANT TO TAKE THE LICENSE FOR HOOKAH AND WORK ON THAT.
MAYOR OF MUMBAI PLEASE 1ST LET THE POLITICIANS OF INDIA WHO ARE RUNNING THE NATION AND ICONS OF THE INDIA NOT SPOIL THE YOUTH BY THEIR CORRUPTION THEN THINK ABOUT THEIR BRIGHT FUTURE.IF U STOP CIGARRETES & ALCOHOL U WILL BE STOPPING A LOT OF DISEASES AND DEATHS AND SAVING LOT OF FAMILIES.
MUMBAI HAS LOT MORE THINGS TO LOOK AFTER MAYOR OF MUMBAI.SLUMS , POVERTY, CORRUPTION , FLOODS,RAPES ,BAD ROADS, BUT OUT OF ALL U CHOSE HOOKAH ...

IF U WANT TO SAVE MUMBAI BE THE REAL 1ST CITIZEN .. IF U WANT TO SAVE THE YOUTH THERE R ALOT MORE THINGS U CAN DO. WE CHOOSE U . TO PROTECT OUR RIGHTS NOT TO DEPRIVE US OF OUR RIGHTS.

    • Madamji...you talk about spoiling culture of our youth what about the culture of our ministers who throw chairs at each other in loksabha..also go look at the roads your BMC makes...if you try to stop these things it will be more profitable in the coming elections, but not banning of hukkas

    • I think the mayor is neglecting the fact that by banning hookah's she is actually encouraging the youth to switch over to cigarettes, which is also very bad and injurious to health. There are more serious issues that can be looked upon.

    • hukka should not be banned, unless there are fair reasons also remember ciggs and alcohol are not falling on same grounds if any law is created.
