    • I just believe that it'll be healthier for the kids to not have synthetic turf where bacteria, viruses, etc. can linger.

    • San Carlos is an affluent and conscious community, and as a new member from what I can see is driven by quality and benefits rather then costs in its decisions. This is exemplified in how it has crafted its private and public surroundings. To compromise this direction and experiment with our children at this point, in my opinion is short sighted and would cause me to reevaluate my residence in San Carlos. Natural grass is the only option for our green public spaces in my opinion, a decision that will continue our growth and hence seem a bargain 10 years from.

    • Ppro nature! Proper maintenance of the field will eliminate many of the problems presented by the oposition. Let's solve that correctly and keep the grass.

    • WE the homeowners in SC pay the property taxes here - installing synthetic turf WILL NOT draw or benefit SC residents, only outsiders!

    • I am outraged that the idea of synthetic turf is even being considered. It's very sad to picture my children playing on it.

    • I can see both sides of this issue, but in the end I think that this field must *first* serve the children of Heather school who have no other access to grass, and only secondarily be considered as a sports field. I would also like to point out that we seem to be restricting ourselves to a false choice here -- natural turf may not be the best option either. How about letting the field go natural at least in part -- with native plants, walkways, and natural features for kids to play around on, and no further ongoing maintenance costs once restored to near-natural condition?

    • Children as well as adults should play on real grass, not synthetic.
